"Optometrists are primary healthcare practitioners of the eye and visual system who provide comprehensive eye and vision care, which includes refraction and dispensing, detection/diagnosis and co-management of disease in the eye and rehabilitation of conditions of the visual system.

We take immense pleasure and pride to announce that, the Yaima College of Optometry(YCO) is commencing its 7th batch this year (2024 - 2025 session) under Manipur University.

It is worthwhile to mention that all the passed out students from our college have been placed in respectable positions in reputed eye hospitals and optical chains, thereby serving the society and filling up the gaps of optometrist in the state.

It is also our pride to mention that passed out students from other universities and states have come for undergoing Internship in our college/hospital. I firmly believe that, YCO shall continue to enhance the delivery of eye care services and also serve an exemplary role in opening new vistas in the field of Ophthalmology in our state.
